From Analog to Digital Ironmongery Displays

The Challenge

Historically Champion Timber have had physical Ironmongery products displayed on panels above the product bins. Because the ranges have changed with several deletions and additions, we worked with the marketing team at Champion to offer a more efficient solution, as there were over 132 panels throughout the branches and each panel took 3 man hours to screw to the boards and complete, plus the cost of the products.

The Solution

The current panels were taken down and photographed in a studio. The images were cut out, the old products deleted and the new products photographed and dropped in. Finally the SKU and the bin numbers were added, previously these were added manually with stickers in the branch. The panels were then printed onto foamex and installed in the branches. For any updates we can simply update a panel and reprint - previously it was unscrew the product and leave an unsightly hole.

The finished panels ‘look amazing’, are much less work for the branches and are easily and cost-effectively updated. There was a massive cost-saving on the old way. Additionally the digital panel files have a dual use as they will be used to easily create a printed reference brochure for the smaller branches who only hold a reduced range of stock.
